About Valerie

Valerie started Iyengar Yoga in New Caledonia in 2006. Fourteen years on, she is still practising yoga and meditation daily and is regularly mentored by a senior Iyengar Teacher.

The Stretch & Strong Tailored Yoga program is based on her deep knowledge and respect for the body’s capability.

In her teaching method, she combines her practice and knowledge of yoga as an art and a science, with her 10 years’ experience in Massage Therapy.

Her main goal is to share the therapeutic value of yoga through an individualized relationship with her students. She focuses on a deep sense of alignment and a steadiness in movement.

I’ve never done yoga before, can I enrol in the Stretch and Strong Yoga program?

You sure can. This program is designed specifically for anyone who wants to discover or re-discover yoga. The individual or small class format offers dedicated attention and support to overcome your limiting beliefs or physical limitations.

How long is the Stretch & Strong Tailored program?

You enrol for six weeks, one session per week, 60 minutes per session.  This format is designed to give you the opportunity to discover the many transformative aspects yoga will bring into your life. All of my students come back for more. Each program, each session is adapted to your progress.

I don’t want to attend the class by myself, what can I do?

The Stretch & Strong Tailored Yoga classes are open to 1 to 3 persons to give you the flexibility to share the space, the motivation and the cost. If you know nobody to enrol with you, contact Valerie to see if there is a group you can attend.

Do I need specific gears to attend the Stretch & Strong Tailored yoga classes?

I do recommend you come with your own mat and a beach towel to cover the studio props. I can provide blocks, belts, blankets and chairs. Props are cleaned before each class.

I don’t understand the cost involved?

You book and pay for an hour spot every week for over six weeks. From there, you decide if you want to share the space, the motivation and the cost. Cost is AUD 399 for one student, AUD 219 per student for two, AUD 149 per student for three students, paid upfront. You are in charge of finding the people that will attend with you.
